Football Sylvie van der Vaart has had an operation to treat her breast cancer.
A month ago doctors diagnosed the model - wife of Real Madrid ace Rafael van der Vaart - with the disease.
Fortunately, it was caught in its early stages and was successfully operated on before it could spread.
Her doctor has assured her that she should make a full recovery.
Sylvie’s lawyer said: “She wants to get over this difficult period in private.”
In July, Sylvie - who is also a TV presenter - will undergo chemotherapy.
She is currently on holiday with her husband.
Sylvie was one of the hottest WAGs in the German Bundesliga, and since Rafael’s move to Real Madrid in summer 2008 she has been lighting up the scene in Spain.
In Germany she modelled for the Otto clothing line and in 2009 the beautiful blonde beat Scarlett Johansson to win 'MAXIM Woman Of The Year'.
